“Unprecedented”:
An adjective that we have come to hear and use a lot over the last
three months! “Unprecedented” will still apply to this summer at
Alliance Française Dublin, as our
building will remain closed until 10 August.
Safety being our priority, we are busy working on making our premises
compliant with the constraints of the “new now” and have deemed more
reasonable to stick to our schedule based on the initial government
roadmap.
All the services that you have come to enjoy online in
growing numbers are available throughout the Summer. Cultural events,
with
our increasingly popular Facebook live series, the Cinéclub, and bien sûr
our courses, with a new online session starting on 27 July while
private classes are available anytime. Two-week programmes for
teenagers
will be starting every other week, and one-week camps will be starting
every week for children, all of these virtual but adapted to make our
young audience… “happy campers”!
We wish you a happy, albeit “unprecedented”, July 2020.
Thierry Lagnau,
Directeur de
l’Alliance Française de Dublin / Coordinateur des Alliances Françaises
en Irlande, tlagnau@alliance-francaise.ie
