Francophonie brings together 274
million French speakers from around the world along with 84
states and governments to form the Organisation
Internationale de la Francophonie (IOF).
Starting March 1st 2018 and for over a

Festival
will take place all across Ireland,

highlight the common values of
democracy, human rights, education, research, sustainable development and
solidarity shared by members of this International organisation.
For the occasion, embassies from 25
countries including the

forces in promoting the French language and culture through a
very special programme of more than 50 events:
A series of exciting conferences, talks,
exhibitions, film festivals and musical
events! Follow us on Facebook and

this festival.
We look forward to welcoming you during this very special

to the darkness of predation.
13 writers of French, English & Irish languages,

Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Léonor de Récondo,
Sylvain Bosselet and Françoise Rey, will

One of the hits of last November’s IFI French Film Festival (where it
screened under the name Aurora with lead actress Agnès Jaoui
in attendance), Blandine Lenoir’s film strikes a balance between
comedy and poignancy in its depiction of a situation rarely examined
on film, that of a woman going through menopause.
Skilfully
crafted, often very funny, and frequently moving, this is a
warm and timely portrait of a usually overlooked section of society.
