The IFI French Film Festival once again
brings a rich and eclectic mix of French
cinema to Dublin with over 25 new and
classic films. These films bear witness and
bring insights of our times, showcasing a
national cinema that is vibrant and alive,
audacious, engaging, and richly visual. The
programme includes portraits of family and
individuals, men and women facing challenges
in their daily life, dealing with social
injustice, gender inequality, prostitution,
sexual abuse, and young people looking for
their place in an increasingly fragmented
world.
Among the special guests attending this
year’s Festival is Guest of Honour Cédric
Kahn, who will participate in a Q&A
following the screening The Prayer on
Friday 16th and also conduct a masterclass
on Saturday 17th. Director Claire Burger
will attend the Opening Gala Screening of
Real Love on Wednesday 14th, while
Andréa Bescond & Eric Métayer will take part
in a Q&A following a screening of Little
Tickles, which screened in competition
at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, on
Wednesday 22nd.

Film Festival Director, Irish Film Institute
