The French Library is back! This
month, after a successful and
well-deserved makeover during
summer, we will reopen for the new
term, on September 26th. With a
bright, redesigned and multiform
space, digital tablets and all of
our collections, the new library
will be a vital addition to the
expansion of French culture in
Ireland. Our digital portal,
Culturethèque,
is now up and running, ready to
offer over 130, 000 French books,
magazines, music, culture, tutorials
and much more! You can ask our
librarians for more details and a
presentation on our brand new
tablets. We will be launching two new
weekly sessions, a "Bilingual
Storytelling" for children and a
"Reading Aloud time for adults",
every Wednesday from October 12th.
Come in and have a look, I promise
it is well worth it!

Lucile Boiron studied Applied
Arts before turning to photography as a
natural step when she attended the Ecole
Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière in
Paris.
In March of last year, Lucile Boiron began
visiting the refugee camps where
dozens of men and women would run aground
daily after their long trek to a potentially
better future. At first incapable of
taking the slightest photo, she tried to
help appeasing the hunger, the
thirst, the cold. After all, what insight
could a person who had been born on the
“right side” bring?
